"I want to look good in a bikini!"
A friend of mine asked about losing some extra lbs in time for swimsuit season. Now, there are a few ways to go about this. I will give my opinion on what you should do to give you the aesthetic appeal you want.
Most people who have extra fat that kind of sags and hangs is just that, extra body fat. We know that our body is in constant state of anabolism and catabolism, meaning we're always using calories in some quantity. One of the chief decisions you need to make is eating less crap! Nobody is stuffing food down your gullet. Here are some tips that will make you eat less than normal.
-I think there's a better answer. Yes, slow paced cardio does utilize fat catabolism, and this technique can be used, some. I don't like when people run, all the time, for long periods of time. It's not good on the body and can lead to lean body mass wasting. If you want to toss in some BRIEF jogs, that's fine. I know this isn't a popular answer, but try weight lifting. Weight lifting isn't a way to gain big bulky muscles super fast, it doesn't happen like that, especially for women.Lifting HEAVY things will improve lean body mass, add muscle, utilize fat/carbs for calorie burn.
Here's a muscly woman. She has muscles, and she looks good, no?
Women with muscles look better, even though the scale might be tipped a little higher.Otherwise, a woman who's skinner but has less muscle, just won't look as good and toned! In addition, the extra muscle will increase calorie burn, and will make typical tasks easier.
To sum it up:Eat less, and better, more protein!Lift heavy, do some stuff you want, jog, sprint, whatever. Less Calories = weight/Fat LossLift Heavy = Look better, more muscle, and calorie burn.

- Eat slowly, and ask yourself how you're feeling. Are you satisfied with your meal? Don't keep eating until you feel 'full.' Don't eat just because there's food on your plate. That can always be saved as seconds, making meals lighter and cheaper!
- Protein has the highest satiation effect. So a high protein diet will make you feel less hungry, therefore allowing you to eat less.
- Overeating carbohydrates like pastas, bread, and chips is an easy way to gain weight. Anyone could sit on the couch and eat chips all day and almost never be satisfied.
